New AG education program brings dairy farming to your classroom!
This BRAND NEW program, meets the following Colorado State Standards:
- Reading Standard 4
- Life Science Standard 3
Journey of Milk
The Journey of Milk is designed for use in upper elementary school classrooms to introduce students to dairy farm operations, the steps in producing and processing milk, interesting facts about cows and the dairy industry, and the nutritional value of dairy foods. Includes 30 student handouts and teacher guide.
Colorado Dairy Farm-to-School Program
This 30 minute classroom presentation and lesson brings local dairy producers into the classroom to share their experiences and to educate students on how milk gets “from cow to you.” Please call to schedule the program for your classroom.
