Carson Elementary School’s Destination ImagiNation Student Team Wins Fuel Up to Play 60 Grant!
Carson’s Destination ImagiNation student team submitted a successful and sustainable action plan for the implementation of Fuel Up to Play 60 in their school. They plan to implement healthy eating and physical activity strategies throughout the 2009-2010 school year; such as developing an exercise club, making a video about healthy eating and teaching peers about Fuel Up to Play 60 at their Turkey Trot run in November. Carson was the recipient of a $1,000 grant from Western Dairy Association to continue Fuel Up to Play 60 in their school.
