Matt’s Pedal The Plains

Today’s blog is from one of our Pedal The Plains team members – Matt Monfre. Monfre is also a Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisor at Stetson Elementary in Colorado Springs.

I have been teaching Physical Education for 29 years. I currently teach at Stetson Elementary School in Colorado Springs.  I have been a Program Advisor for Fuel Up to Play 60 since 2009. My passion is to encourage students to eat healthy and get active through Fuel up to Play 60, Physical Education classes, and activities after school. I coordinate the before school walking club and after school gardening club.  I stay physically active by running, hiking, biking, and walking with my wife Debbie. I also enjoy watching classic movies, sitting by a stream, and gardening. This summer Debbie and I hiked Pikes Peak with Exercise Ernie.

Here are some photos from Matt and Debbie’s ride through Wiggins, Fort Morgan and Sterling.
