National Dairy FARM Program
The National Dairy FARM Program: Farmers Assuring Responsible Management, is a nationwide program that reflects the commitment of U.S. dairy farmers to providing a high level of animal care and quality assurance. F.A.R.M. ensures dairy farmers use the latest scientific research to take great care of their animals and uses second and third party verification so consumers know their dairy comes from well cared-for animals.
Consumers want to know their dairy products are safe, wholesome and nutritious and also want reassurance that animals receive the highest level of care. F.A.R.M. establishes an on-farm animal well-being program and a third-party verification system that demonstrates that commitment. Third-party verification ensures the validity and integrity of the program to our customers and consumers. The dairy community has an excellent track record of responsible management practices; this national effort simply brings consistency and uniformity to on-farm care.
F.A.R.M. was created by National Milk Producers Federation with support from Dairy Management Inc.
